at Chalice Well Gardens in Glastonbury

FEBRUARY 6th-8th: DRUMMING THE DRAGONLINES
An opportunity to experience the alchemy of the Michael and Mary lines, which meet in three different places within the sacred landscape of Avalon. As the sun’s energy begins to increase, we will draw upon our inner fire to tune into the subtle spiritual energies that criss-cross the landscape and express it with ceremonial drumming. Activating our own chakra systems with deep breathing and toning, we will extend our awareness into the chakra body of the landscape, to awaken the sleeping kundalini as winter begins to fade away. We will honour and balance these masculine and feminine ‘Dragonlines’ with chants, songs, Sanskrit mantras and Medicine Wheel rhythms.

JUNE 19th-21st: SOLSTICE FIRE SONGS
A summer solstice celebration with fire drumming, sacred singing and ceremonial chanting. We will walk around the ancient landscape of Avalon to explore the energies of the leylines as the sun is at it’s strongest moment. We will drum and chant with the energies of both Grandmother Earth and Grandfather Sun, opening ourselves as channels for Great Spirit – using the healing powers of voice and drum to raise our energy levels on this longest day of the year. As we watch the sun set on the Saturday night on Glastonbury Tor, we will drawing upon it’s rays to send out our prayers of healing for all the children of Sacred Mother Earth. Channelling with an awareness of our own healing power, we can combine our energies to create a beautiful beacon of collective light.

AUGUST 14th-16th: BRINGING THE HARVEST HOME
A time to bring in both the personal and collective harvest: a weekend of ceremonial drumming and singing around the cross-quarters of the Medicine Wheel, focussing on a journey of self-discovery based on the sacred five rhythm. Once the fifth element has been activated within us, we find ourselves much more open to receiving the subtle spiritual teachings around the wheel of life. Beginning with self-concepts, we will take a journey to our higher selves, both metaphysically and rhythmically with our medicine drums. We can actualize the sacred dream that Lammas brings us, channelling the energies of the beautiful garden of Chalice Well, opening our throat chakras fully and taking flight as a beautiful Phoenix of transformation.

OCTOBER 30th – NOVEMBER 1st: ANCESTORS SPEAKING
As we enter the underworld time of Samhain, we can use the opportunity to connect with the ancestors of this land and call upon their wisdom. The veil between the worlds is at it’s thinnest this time of year – Halloween is the popularised version of ‘All Hallows’, the ancient Pagan New Year. In going into the dark, we become at one with Great Mystery, the Sacred Mother of the Universe – we can travel into a new cosmic awareness with our drumming and sacred chanting. Music is a very powerful form of ceremonial call-in - as we drum and chant, we discover a new language with which to speak to our ancestors. In this era of high-speed wireless connectivity, we can open our ears to become simply attuned to the sound of one heart beating…. This workshop will include guided journeys, drum healing, personal ceremonies and a special group drumming and chanting circle on the Saturday as part of the Chalice Well Samhain celebrations.
