It is not simply about 'making music' but more about understanding the subtle language of Spirit and learning to become fluent in this language. The word 'medicine' refers to the spiritual healing energy of the shamanic practitioner, hence the name 'medicine drum' for the frame drum that is used in our healing circles. Medicine, in this sense, comes from the 'medicine wheel' - which is created every time we meet together to do sacred healing work. The medicine wheel represents the sacred circle of life, its basic four directions, and the elements.
